POST STROKE RECOVERY

Hyperbaric therapy has been shown to help prevent and treat stroke through several different mechanisms. It can be used to precondition the brain by stimulating angiogenesis, producing more circulatory pathways throughout the brain, and potentially decreasing the chance of stroke.

STROKE & HYPERBARICS

According to the Center for Disease Control 1 in 6 deaths from cardiovascular disease was due to stroke in 2020. About 795,000 people in the United States have a stroke every year with approximately 610,000 being first or new strokes. It is a leading cause of serious long-term adult disability and reduces the mobility of more than half of stroke survivors aged 65 and older.
